Does it absorb the thick clots?

The Vamno underwear absorbs the heavy liquid flow that comes with your period. For the thick clots that perimenopause produces — the ones that feel like bloody baby jellyfish — the three layer system is what makes the difference.

Your tampon catches what it can. The underwear absorbs the surrounding liquid flow. The disposable bed pad flat underneath you catches everything that passes through including clots before any of it reaches your sheets.

No single product was built for this. The system together is.

How does the leakproof technology work?

Period underwear uses a multi-layer gusset — the absorbent panel sewn into the crotch area of the underwear. Typically three to four layers doing different jobs simultaneously.

The top layer is a moisture wicking fabric that pulls liquid away from the skin and keeps the surface feeling dry. This is what stops the sticky wet feeling.

The middle layer or layers are the absorbent core. This is where the liquid is held. The fabric is tightly woven and highly absorbent — usually a mix of cotton and synthetic fibres designed to lock in fluid and prevent it from moving back toward the skin or leaking outward.

The outer layer is a leak resistant barrier. It is not fully waterproof like a rain jacket but it is tightly woven enough to resist liquid passing through under normal conditions — meaning when the underwear is fitted close to the body and the absorbent layers have not been completely saturated.

Is it uncomfortable to sleep with?

No. The Vamno underwear is soft, close fitting and breathable. It sits against your body the same way regular underwear does no bulk, no padding, nothing that reminds you all night that you are managing something. Multiple customers have said they forgot they were even wearing it. If you are already dealing with night sweats on top of everything else, the last thing you need is something that traps heat. Vamno is designed to breathe.

Only designed for sleep

Vamno was specifically designed for sleep not for daytime use. The objections most women have with period underwear during the day — the thickness, the wet feeling, the smell, having to change it — none of them apply at night. You are asleep. You are not sitting in it all day.

You are not wearing it under work clothes. You put it on before bed, you sleep, you wake up clean. The thickness is what protects you. The cotton lining keeps you comfortable. And because you wear it over your tampon you are not relying on it alone to hold your full flow.

Why Vamno

You already know the super tampon alone isn't enough. You've lived that. But here's what nobody tells you...

A super tampon was built for a regular predictable cycle. Not for irregular peri flooding that arrives without warning . Have you used adult diapers? A lot of them still bleed through because if the material isn't built for heavy perimenopausal flow it doesn't matter how thick it is. But here's the thing...

The answer was always layers. Your tampon doing what it does. Something fitted around it catching what it can't hold. Something flat underneath so nothing reaches your sheets. Three things working together so none of them has to do the impossible alone.

    Didn't Stop Wearing Tampons

The thing that nearly stopped me buying was thinking I'd have to stop using my tampon. I've used tampons my whole life and I wasn't ready to change that. Nobody told me Vamno goes over the top of it. Your tampon stays exactly where it is.

The underwear just wraps around it so anything that gets past is caught before it reaches your clothes or sheets. I wear it every heavy night now. Tampon in first, Vamno over the top, bed pad underneath. Three minutes to set up. The whole night protected.

    Worth Every Penny

I'd wasted so much money already. I was going through tampons so fast I was wearing two at the same time just to try and hold the flow still wasn't enough. I was sceptical about spending again. But honestly worth every single penny.

The underwear is washable so I'm not restocking every month. The napkin insert is replaceable so I just swap it out on my heaviest nights rather than buying a whole new pair. And the bed pads mean my mattress is still in one piece. When I added it all up I'm actually spending less than I was before. Real value for money.

    Heading

I'd ruined so many pairs of pyjamas I stopped buying nice ones. What was the point. Every heavy night I'd wake up already knowing before I'd even looked that I was changing again. That sick feeling of pulling back the covers. Wet pyjamas, wet sheets, sometimes both. Just lying there for a second thinking not again.

Perimenopause had turned sleeping into something I dreaded. Vamno was the first morning I woke up and just lay there. Still. Nothing had happened. Didn't have to touch anything. Didn't have to change anything. Just lay there in clean pyjamas thinking — oh. So this is what normal feels like.

FAQ

What is the napkin insert and do I need it?

The cotton napkin insert sits inside the Vamno underwear and adds an extra layer of absorption. On your lighter nights the underwear lining handles it. On your heaviest nights swap the insert in for maximum coverage. It is replaceable and disposable so you just change it out rather than washing the whole pair.

How long does the underwear last?

The Vamno underwear is machine washable and built to last multiple cycles. You are not throwing it away after one use. Wash it, dry it, wear it again. The bed pads are disposable peel off in the morning and replace the next night.

What is the 60 day guarantee?

If your period floods through your clothes or sheets while using the Vamno system within 60 days of purchase we will give you a full refund. No questions asked. No hoops to jump through. If it doesn't hold, you don't pay.

How to wash it?

Rinse in cold water straight after use to remove the majority of blood before washing. Machine wash on a gentle cold cycle only — the knitted nylon construction needs a gentle cycle to keep its stretch and stay fitted to your body.

Air dry flat or hang to dry. Never tumble dry as heat damages the absorbent layers over time. Avoid fabric softener as it coats the fibres and reduces absorbency his is the one most people get wrong. No bleach. With the right care your Vamno underwear will last for months of heavy nights.
